No material may be altered to any degree and no one is permitted to copy, broadcast, download, store (in any medium), transmit, show or play in public, any content of the Fosterwiki website without the Fosterwiki’s prior written consent.

By applying to be a member of the Fosterwiki , you consent to the Fosterwiki processing personal or sensitive data relating to you, in accordance with the Fosterwiki registration.

As with most other web servers, when you access these web pages certain information you provide will automatically be recorded by the Fosterwiki. This will include your IP address, browser type, and information relating to the page you last visited. This information is needed to estimate how much usage of the server is made by different categories of users and in the event of a breach of security may be used to aid detection.

Your data is only used to administer your enquiry or application for membership and your data will be passed on to the appropriate department for this purpose, after this time our system will automatically hard delete your stored information within six months that you have submitted via our website.

If you wish to contact us before the six months automated deletion, please contact us here  to request a deletion of your data that’s currently held on our website at (https://fosterwiki.com).

Where you are required under this website to provide personal data this data will be used for the following purposes:

Maintaining up-to-date lists of current membership – all information is for reference and internal marketing purposes and is not shared with third parties.

Maintaining up-to-date lists of current applications for membership on the website and holding information on membership – all information is for reference and may be used as documentary evidence to substantiate the details given on the  application form.

The search engine on our website is designed to be as powerful and easy to use as the popular search engine google. The search is made possible by a piece of hardware (a search ‘appliance’) supplied by google that is plugged into our server and continuously indexes the content on our site. All search requests are handled by the appliance and the information is not passed on to any third party, including google.

If credit card details are requested as part of a transaction between you and us, these details will be encrypted and handled by a secure web server using SSL technology. We do not currently accept payment online.

Banner ads on Fosterwiki websites may be advertising third party services and you may be directed to servers belonging to the third party. Users are encouraged to review the privacy statement of each linked site before sharing personal information. Inclusion of the other sites by links does not imply any endorsement of the material or information on the other sites.

All electronic marketing is carried out and conforms to the ICO guidelines.

Types of collection of data:

Direct Marketing to an individual within a company/Local Authority.

Legitimate interest: Individuals named in the email ([email protected]) would reasonably expect their data to be used in a way they would reasonably expect and which has a minimal privacy impact, or where there is a compelling justification for the processing.

Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

  1. By entering the prize draw you are agreeing to these prize draw terms and conditions.
  2. The prize draw is being run by FosterWiki Ltd (FW).
  1. The prize draw is open to entrants over 18 years of age and who are members of FosterWiki.com.
  2. In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win.
  3. A maximum of one entry per individual is permitted.
  4. The prize draw is free to enter.
  5. No member of the FosterWiki team or FosterWiki Ltd including family members can participate in the prize draws.
  1. The prize draw will include those currently on our membership list and all new subscribers up to the date of the draw. Entries after that time and date will not be included in the draw.
  2. To enter the prize draw simply subscribe as a member on our website https://fosterwiki.com
  3. FW will not accept responsibility if contact details provided are incomplete or inaccurate.
  1. The prize will be advertised as part of the campaign and may change from time to time. Only one prize per draw
  2. FW use of particular brands as prizes does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of such brands.
  3. The winner will be drawn at random.
  4. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered. 14. We reserve the right to substitute prizes with another prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.
  5. The decision of FW regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

  2. FW will attempt to contact the winner by email up to two times.
  3. If the winner does not respond to the emails notifying them of their win within 14 days of the second email, they will lose their right to the prize, and FW reserves the right to choose and notify a new winner.

  3. The winner agrees to the release of their first name to any other prize draw participants if requested via FW.
  4. An announcement of the winners first name will be made via FW social media channels and website.
  5. All personal information shall be used in accordance with FW Privacy Notice.

FW does not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of either participating in the prize draw or being selected for a prize, save that FW does not exclude its liability for death or personal injury as a result of its own negligence.
  2. FW does not provide any form of practical or IT support for this prize. On receipt, all responsibilities relating to warranty and the product are that of the prize winner.
  1. FW reserves the right to cancel the prize draw or amend these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.
  2. The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

The Fosterwiki, however, reserves the right to make variations to the information and services, contents, fees, entry requirements and methods of delivery, to discontinue or merge or combine courses, and to make variations to regulations, both before and after a members registration, if such action is reasonably considered necessary by the Fosterwiki. Should industrial action or other circumstances beyond the control of the Fosterwiki occur, and this interferes with the Fosterwiki’s ability to deliver services in accordance with the descriptions provided, the Fosterwiki will use all reasonable endeavours to minimise disruption as far as it is practical to do so.
