Support

Our extensive support package includes being buddied with an experienced foster carer during assessment and an allocated qualified social worker to guide and support you throughout your fostering journey. They are there to provide you with support throughout your assessment and will involve you with the wider community of foster carers

Hampshire Hive

A unique scheme to Hampshire County Council, the Hampshire Hives consists of up to 15 foster families who are linked together to help one another, with one foster carer known as the Hive Carer Support Worker acting as the central point.

This is a network like those in extended families where people support one another. The Hampshire Hive aims to create an extended support network where people support one another as friends and family do in everyday life.

Training

We offer a range of quality courses at every stage of your fostering journey. Our trainers are friendly and experienced, recognising the skills and knowledge you already have. It’s a great opportunity to meet other foster carers and those who have been in foster care.

Allowances

Our foster carers receive an allowance for each child, or young person, they care for to cover the day-to-day costs of caring for them. We also offer a competitive skill-related income to those who go on to develop their skills and care for our more challenging children and young people
